![]() Fixes a bug that caused Sketch to crash when opening and reading a corrupted document. When swapping Symbol instances for the first time, the Swap at Original Size checkbox is now unchecked by default. This feels a bit more in line with what you’d expect in this scenario. If you hide collaborator names and cursors in your document, we will no longer show their selections either. Also, text input fields now resize more consistently as you edit. The ⏎ and ⇧⏎ shortcuts now consistently create a new line when editing text overrides on the Canvas, in the Overrides panel, and when editing comment fields.Sketch is now much more responsive when copying and pasting large Artboards between pages or documents, so you should see fewer beach balls (unless that’s what you’re designing). You can now enable or disable all overrides for a Symbol source via a new checkbox at the top of the Manage Overrides Inspector section. The Size Instance to Fit Content option is now available in the Layer menu (which means you can also create a shortcut for it).Our heartfelt thanks to the testers in Sketch community forum (jkilp, eurlichallan, joe, dale, valentin, AACourt, KarlCanBeCool, Dave, leohans, Giancarlo, fab1An, flowxd_io, vattic, rachael, noe, samvermette, srkkrs) for their insights and feedback as we worked on this. You’ll also notice many quality-of-life improvements to Smart Layout, including Layer List icons, keyboard shortcuts, Foresight support, and the ability to pause Smart Layout temporarily on a group or Artboard. Better still, it behaves far more predictably. You can now use Smart Layout with groups, Artboards and Symbols. Taking Smart Layout beyond Symbols We released Smart Layout in Groups as an experimental feature in March, and since then we’ve worked hard to expand its capabilities. As a workaround, you can use layers instead of pages, or move the page content to the first page before exporting. Another bug prevents filtered objects or embedded images on any page of the document other than the first one from being exported to PDF. ![]() To work around the bug do NOT use copy-paste while having the Export dialog open! The bug will be fixed in Inkscape 1.2.1. There is a bug in Inkscape 1.2 that could destroy gradients, clips and clones in one's drawing, but one would only notice it happened after saving the file and then later opening it again. To learn more, see the full release notes for Inkscape 1.2. Numerous crash & bug fixes in the main Inkscape program and in in the stock extensions.Lots of improvements to the user interface.Performance gains for many parts of the interface and many different functions.Configurable Tool bar, continuous icon scaling and many more new customization options.Convenience Boolean operation for splitting paths. ![]()
